It's a terrible oversight on our part. Only two weeks till our Beltane bonfire and we haven't sent out our invitations.
Rest assured we're still alive. And as long as we are alive and able to hobble out to our fire pit, there will be a Beltane fire. The same holds true for Samhain. First Saturday in May, last Saturday in October. Even if you don't get an invitation, there will be a fire. And you will be most welcome.
Here's the invite. Art lovers will recognize "Moonwalk" by the amazing Gil Bruvel. As it works out, the moon will be a thin crescent on the night of the bonfire. Attendees will have to stay up until about 3:15 in the morning to see it rise. Nothing unusual about that.
So join us at the usual place on May 4 at 8 p.m. Costumes are encouraged ... they're not just for Halloween anymore. Bring a little something to eat, to drink, to share. Bring a musical instrument. An untamed libido. A bottomless passion for fun. Let's walk the moon and welcome the sun!
